Hamaid Mahmood KHAN

Dr. Hamaid Mahmood Khan is an Assistant Professor at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakif University, Istanbul, Turkey. He obtained his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering (2006) from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. Dr. Khan received his MS in Engineering with business management from Kings College London, London, UK. He received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Istanbul University Cerrahpasa in 2019. He has over six years of cross-cultural industrial experience in India and the UK in diverse engineering fields. Besides, he also has scientific research expertise of more than three years in India and Turkey.
His main research areas are in design for additive manufacturing, including lattice structures, residual stress reduction, and post-processing minimization. He is also interested in the post-processing applications to enhance surface integrity, including corrosion and wear resistance.
